Education for Free (General School Log, all) (OPEN LOG)
Who: Anyone who wants to go to school
Where: Any of the schools found in the Calendar (there are other schools, but your characters would only be going to those)
Summary: General School log! Start your own threads, make threads, or just have your character going to school and meeting the others. You have carte blanche.
Warnings: Nothing for now.
April 1st. While for many it would be a day for jokes and pranks, in Japan (and by extension, Hinoto-Ri who clung on some things from the past like precious memories), it was the start of the school year.
Those that were of age had gotten their papers already, and hopefully you had read the messages involving it. Otherwise, SURPRISE!
Thankfully, it didn't seem like the government was pushing for you to go absolutely, but they were STRONGLY SUGGESTING it for your own good. Your own enlightenment, if you will. Besides, it was free education, why pass that up?
These are the adventures of those inside of school on their first days...

So today is Nanako's official first day of second grade, and she's more than a little excited. She'd made friends in her class before, and she's hoping a few of them will be in her new class. Especially the Jack Frost kid she'd befriended in spite of the Christmas debacle.
Nanako can be found on the train on her way to school, carrying a lunch box from Junes, inside the school during the day, or chatting with some of her friends on the playground after school lets out.]

He may or may not have shown a little early even to nab the window seat in the second row - while he plans to take his own advice and pay attention in class, it's still nice to be near to the outsides... as near as he can be anyways.

Phoenix Free School parking lot.
Right now though, she stood in the parking lot, next to her motorcycle. She looks around slowly, trying to find a good place to park it where it won't get stolen/damage/placed on the roof. There aren't many spots, so she doesn't look too enthusiastic about her changes.
"Maybe I'll just hide it in a closet" she says, to no one in particular.
ANDROMEDA HIGH SCHOOL | SEWING CLUB
There was technically one already in establishment, but the last few members had graduated out at the end of the previous year, and they hadn't really extended much of an effort to encourage more members to join as they left. So, Shiki swooped right in and took it up for herself when the teacher who had previously sponsored the club agreed to her request, and promptly pasted numerous hastily made signs around the school to encourage people to drop by. If you follow the signs' instructions as to which room number to go to, or even asked teachers for a list of clubs and where they were held (though they technically weren't quite in session yet), you'll find Shiki alone in a room full of sewing supplies, trying to decorate several larger signs to put up around the school in the future.
Did you wanna join? Did you just peek into a classroom at random? Whatever it is, come bother her!]

Still, it doesn't hurt to snoop around a bit and see what's out there. So yeah... he's really just taking a glance... and frowning slightly.

no sense of fashion? do your worst, shiki!
... To make matters even worse, she's just checking out the school to see what it's like. Curiosity and all that.
And she's had the bad luck of finding the sewing club first.]
What's this?

Except Shiki was going, and... well... okay, maybe he'd decided to go because she was going.
He'd never really got into clubs a whole lot at home. He'd helped with backdrops in drama club and stuff, but he'd never really participated a whole lot. He'd only joined to get his dad off his back. Here, though, he wasn't... really sure if he should join one or not. Shiki, on the other hand, seemed to have her heart set on sewing club.
... of course, Neku had no doubt he'd get dragged into it at some point. But, he supposed, that was his job as her boyfriend. Being supportive. ... yeah.
Whatever. Neku is coming to check on you, Shiki. And see if you need help on those signs or something.]

Before school: Minako has been to so many schools over the years that entering a new one is routine. Her first task is always to explore the school building and get a feel for the layout. It doesn't seem too different from a usual public school. As she passes students in the halls she greets them enthusiastically, especially those she recognizes as Visitors, as well as introducing herself to the teachers. Making a good impression early on is important. (It lets her get away with more later.)
Eventually, she returns to her classroom: 3-1, in the hope of meeting with several familiar faces she'd seen on the class roster...
Lunchtime: This may not be Gekkoukan, but the traditional place for lunch is still the roof. Minako climbs the stairs to the rooftop carrying her bento - maybe catching someone she knows along the way - and spends the period eating on one of the benches and chatting with whoever else had the same idea.
After school: Once classes are over, Minako heads to the bulletin board outside the office to check out the list of school clubs. It doesn't look like they are officially taking members yet, but she wants to plan out what the rest of her school year will be like. She definitely wants to join the volleyball team, the Student Council if she can manage it, and maybe a cooking club... Normal people might say this is too much on top of the tests seniors have, but she just doesn't feel comfortable without a lot of things to fill her day.
Even later she'll find someone to walk home with, talking animatedly about her day. It feels nice to just be a normal student again, after so long.

So maybe she dodged a bullet on this one.
That being said, one of the rules she is seeing fit to follow - mostly - is that of the uniform. Well, okay, she had to get a longer skirt on account of her scars (seriously, nobody wants to see that during class!,) but beyond that modification it's all good. It certainly helps that she's quite capable of hiding sheathed knives under her skirt now, so she doesn't have to go anywhere unarmed. Success!
...So there she is, wandering around campus, exploring, finding out what's what and what's where. She can mostly be found in the library looking up history books, though.
She's an oddball that way.]

Andromeda High School
This is it.
She's going to school. A real school. She's going to learn lots of things, make friends, hopefully run for student council...and maybe figure out what a school festival is too.
You cannot possibly be happier than Labrys today. Well, maybe you can. But she's a good contender.
"This is it. I'm actually goin'! My first day..."

And then on her first day, despite how nervous she was and how much she stuck out in front of the class, she was quickly befriended by Yukko, Mio, and Mai. They made school so fun for her, and she was able to fit in right away because of them.
Remembering all of these feelings and how Labrys must be experiencing much of the same ones right now, Nano decides it's her turn to do for a new student what Yukko and the others did for her. Smiling and waving as she approaches, she calls out her friend's name.]
Labrys-san! Are you going to school here too?

All the schools, why not! :)
*So the odd blue bird-ish person is going from school to school, simply checking things out at each, and getting into plenty of conversations with faculty members who seem to think he needs to attend somewhere, because he's surely only what, fifteen? ...while he merely wants a brief sum of what the whole thing is about. Cue the sighing and patient explanations that yes, he really is far older than he looks, though he doesn't care to get into how many hundreds of times older.*
*Care to bother him
even moreas he tours the schools and peruses their materials?*Andromeda High School (more or less just reposted from my earlier post, orz)
In class, she is a very attentive student, taking copious notes and always nodding seriously at everything out of the teacher's mouth.
At lunch, she's got a homemade bento with the sausages cut up into cute little octopi shapes and all sorts of other cutesy culinary tricks, and is definitely willing to share with anyone who doesn't have enough to eat.
And after classes are over, she takes her time walking home to the Pisces apartments, meandering through the city and enjoying the warm spring air.
She's happy to talk to anyone and everyone who's interested in making a new friend throughout the day, although she's probably still a little too shy to approach on her own. Still, though, the day is full of promise!]
Draconis Middle School - anywhere
On the other? Being out of regular school for over a year meant there would be a lot of catching up to do. That made her kind of nervous. Even if she was going to be going into the third year because of her age, she was going to have a lot of work to do to keep up with her classmates.
Then there was the minor problem of her having outgrown the school uniform she'd worn at her old school. It was true that her new school didn't require a uniform, but it just didn't feel right to not wear one. It wouldn't do to wear one from one of the other schools, so she'd done some searching.
The red and white uniform Nagisa had finally settled on had been in one of the costume vaults in the theater. It had probably been used for a promotional video or something, but it looked nice, right? With the school badge on, it looked even nicer.
And so, she carried her school bag in one hand and her lunchbox in her other, singing to herself as she went along.
[ooc: lyric translation. and yes, that uniform did get used in an AKB48 music video.]

Andromeda High School - everywhere!
It just seems so... normal. But with Aqua and the others insisting that he attends, it's not like he had a choice.
So, on the first day, he can be found wandering the grounds, trying to scope out which room is where, where his friends are, and also where he can escape during lunchtime.
Eventually, he'll settle into room 1-1 and grab a seat up front and by one of the windows. Judging by the way he's got his head propped up with one hand while his fingers drum on the desk's surface, he's still not particularly thrilled to be there.]

Speaking of the devil; Bitty!ku may or may not find him leaning back against the lockers close to his class door during lunch break, arms folded over his chest and clearly waiting for someone. Guess, who's come to check up on you?]
