Who: Anyone who wants to go to school
Where: Any of the schools found in the Calendar (there are other schools, but your characters would only be going to those)
Summary: General School log! Start your own threads, make threads, or just have your character going to school and meeting the others. You have carte blanche.
Warnings: Nothing for now.

April 1st. While for many it would be a day for jokes and pranks, in Japan (and by extension, Hinoto-Ri who clung on some things from the past like precious memories), it was the start of the school year.

Those that were of age had gotten their papers already, and hopefully you had read the messages involving it. Otherwise, SURPRISE!

Thankfully, it didn't seem like the government was pushing for you to go absolutely, but they were STRONGLY SUGGESTING it for your own good. Your own enlightenment, if you will. Besides, it was free education, why pass that up?

These are the adventures of those inside of school on their first days...

[There's an older student standing nearby, hand on a book about the Edo period. It's... strange, that he feels like he should read it, but maybe if he learns more about the period he can figure out why Eko went nuts and how to stop it from happening to him.]

[He steps backwards, not noticing the smaller student near him.]

[Haseo notices him just fine, though, and manages to step out of the way. This guy's got a book and seems to be paying more attention to it...

[... Aaand he's feeling awkward again because he's so much older. How do you deal with this?]

I reckon this is why you're not supposed to read while you drive... [She nods toward some of the tables.] Seats're that way, I think. Only ones I've found anyway.

[... He pauses a little and puts his book down.]

Uh... what are you reading?

History in general. My home world's pretty different, so I figure I may as well learn about this place before not learning comes back to bite me.

History was never one of my strong subjects. ... None of them were.

[Terrible student right here, yep.]

This place seems pretty close to where I lived at home though - I mean, before everything went to hell. So I'm grabbing a book on the Edo period which was... a long while ago. Like four hundred years ago or something? ... Anyway. I knew someone from then so...

[Yeah.]

Seriously? Huh. Maybe it was the teachers being boring?

[That gets a confused/amused snort out of her and she raises both eyebrows.] Huh! That's something you don't hear every day.

Maybe. I didn't go to the best school. Education wasn't really a priority in my family.

[He chuckles a little.]

My job at home is kind of specialized, yeah.

Huh. Not sure if I should congratulate you or be annoyed - Mom and Dad were archaeologists, y'see. Ruin hunters. You don't get there without learning things.

[Her own interest in the subject be damned-]

I basically grew up in organized crime. No one cared about school there.

[A lot of people didn't graduate high school, and there were only a few around who actually finished university.]

Yeah... basically I keep the human and demon worlds in balance with each other. I stop them from totally wiping each other out. I'm supposed to, anyway.
