Who: Anyone who wants to go to school
Where: Any of the schools found in the Calendar (there are other schools, but your characters would only be going to those)
Summary: General School log! Start your own threads, make threads, or just have your character going to school and meeting the others. You have carte blanche.
Warnings: Nothing for now.

April 1st. While for many it would be a day for jokes and pranks, in Japan (and by extension, Hinoto-Ri who clung on some things from the past like precious memories), it was the start of the school year.

Those that were of age had gotten their papers already, and hopefully you had read the messages involving it. Otherwise, SURPRISE!

Thankfully, it didn't seem like the government was pushing for you to go absolutely, but they were STRONGLY SUGGESTING it for your own good. Your own enlightenment, if you will. Besides, it was free education, why pass that up?

These are the adventures of those inside of school on their first days...

[She smirks at the reaction the carrots mention gives him. There's really nothing that offends him more than bad food.]

I'm fine with yakitori, too. We can probably try all kinds of different things. I think some of those books have good grilling recipes...

[and now, directly to Shinjiro, so he can't hide behind silence anymore] What would you want to try cooking?

[And now it is Miki's turn to be quiet and just watch Shinjiro, a grin on her face. Yeah Jiji, you want to cook things, right?]

[He feels like he's being cornered by two opportunistic hyenas.

There are plenty of things he could cook on a shichirin. Finally try his hand at cooking Hibachi-style food and see if shichirin still cook as evenly as they say. He wouldn't mind trying it. Chicken was popular, and eel, and grilled vegetables were far better than any of that. Could even make a stew out of it if he tried, and not have to think of Aki wanting everything on a bed of rice.

But to say something like that would make it seem like he was tacitly approving whatever they were planning. He's afraid of what he might get roped into. You don't agree to anything without having the facts right in front of you.

The only godsend is that class starts again in fifteen minutes.

He never thought he'd be looking forward to it, but Minako's good at accomplishing the impossible, especially when she has an accomplice.

He keeps his face completely passive.

He can survive fifteen minutes. He's survived worse.]

I'd have to look.

[Maybe not a hyena... but at least a big cat, sensing that her prey is getting closer. She can read him well enough by now. "I'd have to look" means he's started planning something. He may not tip his hand completely until the actual day of the cookout, but the net is already cast, and all she and Miki have to do is reel it in.]

Well, there's lots of time to figure that out before summer gets here!

[Oh she knows you too well. Of course you'd never outright agree at anything. It was just a game to maneuver around you to do things. That was fine. Have a look was almost a full acceptance in her book.]

Exactly! We have plenty of time to make one...and failing that, we can just buy one! Either way, it's could be a good learning experience...
