Who: Open to Everyone, but only Newly Accepted Characters can start threads.
Where: All around the city! They appear where you want them to appear.
Summary: Newcomers arrive and by now the Government is more ready and sends everyone out to go people hunting.
Warnings: ARRIVALS. Also assume the first thread is the ones who tell you about the city, and the other tags for the character can be talking with others in the city and learning more about it.

[FOR THOSE IN THE CITY:]
There was still so much cleanup to do. What a perfect time for your HORUS detection systems to start warning you that another group of people were forthcoming.

The device allowed everyone to spot abnormalities; and while it was being re-tuned to work with the appearing buildings, they could hone in on newcomers at a much faster pace. The leftover energy from the travel (commonly called Magatama Residue) gave them a few minutes to find them before it would flicker out.

Combined with the fact they could appear in most parts of the city, it made finding the newcomers was both easy yet frustratingly difficult.

As the blips appear on your own radar function, it was also nice enough to calculate for you the best transport and destination routes to take to get there. Speed was of the essence, after all.

[FOR THOSE WHO JUST ARRIVED:]
You're not in your homeworld anymore. That much is evident. So how do you feel? Happy? Sad? Troubled? A little of all three? No matter what, the memories of a butterfly man named Philemon are fading like a dream; you'll remember the details, but perhaps not everything he has said.

There is one word that stays with you, however.

Persona.

So...here to save the city, huh? First you'll need to find out more information. And who knows, maybe a familiar face or two...

[OOC: As stated above, only new characters can start a thread, but feel free to jump in any of them. characters arrive with their clothing and whatever items they had on them the moment they were taken; the remaining items will be later found in their apartments.]

[He stops and looks over at Minato. Even after being told this isn't a game, he still can't quite believe it.]

[He was warm enough in some of the snowy fields in The World, but this cold is different. It's more real. And it hurts a little. Still...]

It's not like this is real.

[What kind of outfit is this guy wearing, anyway? That's a weird armor choice. It's not even armor.]

[ What? No! This totally viable armor!

Winter Coat: +50 resistance against cold and wind
Winter Scarf: +10 resistance against cold, +1 convenient leash
Hipster Clothes: +10 style, +5 helvetica points, -50 coolness points
Boots: +20 resistance against cold, +40 resistance against wet feet, +10 traction, -10 speed

The comment gives Minato pause, but then he shrugs. ]

Who knows? Even if it's not, it's still nicer to be warm.

... Well, this isn't like the other Root Towns...

[He can't teleport around, for one. For another this is completely the wrong time period.]

Yeah. The hub towns on the servers.

Servers...? [ That's... a little weird. ] Like a game or something?

Yeah. In The World.

What's 'The World'? [ The way Tsukasa says it, Minato thinks it must be the name of something. ]

It's the biggest MMO... ever. Pretty much everyone plays it? Everyone who plays video games at all, at least.

Oh I see. We have lots of MMOs where I am from, but we don't have any called The World...

[ It's a little weird to be talking about an MMO in context, though. Unless...

Minato looks sidelong at Tsukasa for a moment. That staff does seem like something out of an MMORPG. ]

Are you... were you in that game before you came here? Is this your avatar?

... Yeah. I play a Wavemaster.

I'm guessing that's a magic-using class?

[ Since... what other classes carry staves like that? ]

That's right. Most Wavemasters focus on either support or attack.

[His specialty happens to be the latter.]

I see. Which is your speciality, then?

[ At least he's getting the kid talking. He doesn't seem quite as standoffish as before, but well... who knows? ]

[It's true, his posture is a little more relaxed. This is comfortable territory for him, instead of questions about the real world or about his feelings.]

Mostly attack spells. I have some healing skills, since leveling up without them is incredibly difficult.

Yeah, I can imagine so. If you can't heal, you'd better be amazing at dodging, or you won't make it far.

[ Talking about stuff like this is easy, though. Minato enjoys video games, and besides a lot of the principles in them had also applied in climbing Tartarus and arranging his personas usefully. ]

Pretty much. You can't solo most dungeons without healing spells or items. Some people always party up for them, but I prefer doing it myself.

Makes sense. It can be nice having someone to watch your back, but it's definitely easier to schedule if you've only got yourself to worry about.

I don't go into town unless I need supplies, usually... or if something is happening.

Special events?

[ All MMOs have those sometimes, after all. ]

Yeah. Or sometimes the Crimson Knights - a guild in the World - are up to stuff.

Are you part of that guild or something?

No, but it used to be good to know where they were looking so I could not be in those places.

... Though my... um. My f... friend used to be the guildmaster of them before she disbanded it.
