Ally-hunting
Who: Nanami, Open Invitation
Where: Streets of Hinoto-Ri, 13th Hour
Summary: If wandering around until you found a party worked for MMORPGs, why shouldn't it work here?
Warnings: nil
The sky was red. Nanami Chiaki was, once again, ignoring common sense and wandering around.
Then again, many players did that, didn't they.
Battles were supposedly best done in pairs here- thanks to that, it was apparently a thing for some people to make appointments on the Network. Nanami had browsed the Network messages, gotten an idea of which locations would be rife with demonhunters tonight- and in retrospect she should've made a comment, maybe, but it felt...... ...... ..... it felt awkward to say anything when everyone seemed to know everyone else. Yeah. Nanami was not good with networking. (A pity this site was called the Network. Eyyerugh, her kyrptonite!! Haha.)
The plan was to one- find a fellow hunter to tag-team with, and two- a quest aptly described by miming a gun with your hands and going pew pew pew. Or even better, ratatatatatatata like a machine gun, and cue evil laughter. Her Evoker was in her hand and she absently experimented with flipping it about once in a while as she strolled. There were growls and indescribably grotesque animal noises- but there were also large buildings with their anti-demon barriers, that Nanami made it a point to landmark in her mind in case she ever encountered something she didn't feel like fighting.
In many cases it took less effort outsprinting your average Rattata-class mook than actually engaging them. Quest One had to be cleared before progress could be counted for the next.
Now, time to go player-hunting!

The SHSL Gamer bobs her head politely. "I see. Um, I a bit new, so could I ask if there's any advantage of waiting over actively hunting?"
Nanami shifts herself closer to the wall into a less conspicuous position. She's assuming the shadowed ambush post is meant to hide the woman she's talking to, and she'd rather not ruin everything and get a earful for it. "....other than, well. Convenience?"

She grips her whip a little tighter, gesturing to the figure of something large in the distance, that lurched away a few seconds later.
"I wish not to die in this forsaken place."

Sadly, this lady did not look like she gamed a lot. But that was fine. She had a point.
"That is true.... .... though if you pick no fights, what's low-leveled will remain low-leveled for a long time.... I see where you're coming from, though."
Nanami leaned against the wall casually. "My Persona is nothing fantastic either. In this case... may I wait with you? Two low-leveled Personas stand a better chance than one, since you're talking in terms of survival."

She just wondered whether there was any Character Quirks (TM) that she'd have to deal with.

Ah, right. It wouldn't make sense to work with someone whose name you didn't even know yet. The night was relatively quiet for a 13th Hour and Nanami was a little lethargic, truth to be told- so details were missed out. Whoops. It was good that this wasn't a situation where you picked one multiple-choice option and got locked into a route, then. Chances to double back and redo were always nice.
"..... my name is Nanami Chiaki." Who you are- was a name enough? What parts of her identity did this woman need, age and birthdate? It didn't look like people here even knew what Hope's Peak was, let alone the titles they used.
To be honest, those multiple-choice selections they put in some in-game conversations were far from her favorite thing about games.
"Could I have your name too?"
no subject
"My name is Franziska von Karma. Very well, do you have a weapon?"
no subject
"A weapon?"
A weapon? Sigh. Nanami glances at the whip by Franziska's side- a big majority of the players here seemed to be apt at combat even without a Persona, hmm. It really makes one wonder if she should invest in a gun or a sword or something.
"No, unfortunately.... .... not one of my own, I fight with my Persona."
